Spring 2008 Undergraduate Research Program

The QoLT Center is starting an undergraduate research program designed for Carnegie Mellon and University of Pittsburgh sophomores and juniors to acquire research experience.

Selected students will receive $1000 in funding for the Spring 08 semester and an extra $200 for supplies.

Eligibility Requirements
This program is open to sophomores and juniors at both universities.

Students MUST have both a graduate student and faculty mentor.

There is no restriction on major or research experience.

Students must work on a project that is related to Quality of Life Technology.

Expectations of the Students

Students will create a contract with their graduate student and faculty advisors for the frequency of meetings and number of hours student will work per week.

Students will meet with one of the student organizers of program at least once during the semester.

Students will present their work in at a poster session at the end of the semester.

Students will write a 1-2 page summary of their experience at the end of the semester.
